Pastor Victor A. Rivera
Victor
A. Rivera was born on October 9th in the city of Passaic, NJ
to Victor M. Rivera and Lillian Torres. At the age of 5, he
was already leaning towards ministry and told his mom to
dress him in suits and ties so that he may look like his
Pastor. He even told his parents that he wanted to be a
Pastor when he grew up.
He was baptized in
water at the age of 11 and became active in the Children’s
Ministry. At the age of 14, he was trained and became the
sound engineer for the musical group “Orquesta Ebenezer”
under the directorship of Alfonso "Fonzy" Cruz. At the age
of 16, he became Sub-Treasurer in the Youth Ministry. He
joined a Youth Ministry called “Power Teens” under the
direction of Sister Loida Ortiz. At the age of 18, he became
a member of The Great Commission Church in Paterson, NJ,
under the leadership of Rev. Agustin Rodriguez. He began
working with the Media Ministry and the “Great Commission
Youth Ministry". He was installed as a Youth Coordinator in
2001.
In 2000, he
graduated from Passaic County Technical Institute with a
certificate in Computer Service Technology. He then went on
to complete his A+ CompTia Certification. He also completed
multiple professional training courses in the areas of Audio
Visual and Computer. He obtained his Associates in Theology
from The Christian University and is currently pursuing a
Diploma in Ministry from The Christian University “School of
Ministry”.
In 2003, he
co-founded, “Redbucks Corp., Inc.” with his friend, Rene
Cruz. This company offers Audio Visual, Computer and
Recording Studio Services to the body of Christ.
Lead by the Lord,
he moved to the Passaic County Christian Center in 2005. He
established the Media Ministry and “At the Crossroads” Young
Adults Ministry. He currently supervises the Youth Ministry,
the Young Adults Ministry and the Media Ministry.
In March 2008, He
married his long time girlfriend, Pastor Priscilla Ramos.
